How to use the corset correctly? Is is possible to wash it in the washing machine?

Some points about using and washing different models of corsets differ. When using the corset with the busk-fastener one should loosen the lacing before the fastening and unfastening the corset. You can avoid this procedure if you can fasten the lath on your own without any difficulties. The corset elements ( mainly leathern), belts and straps not destined for tightening the corset and serving mainly as a décor should be regulated to fit the figure to avoid deformation and gaps. Ribbons and belts that are on the neck should not be fastened very tightly, one should regulate the ties to feel comfortable and not to damage the corset. It is only possible to wash most of the corsets especially those with embroidery or contrasting edging using dry cleaning or
rubbing the lining with wet material. Corset has a very complicated construction with a lot of glue materials and metallic accessories-ordinary washing may damage the upper layer and the “bumpiness” in the washing machine is inadmissible. Specific dirtying is removed in the laundry. After taking off the corset it's better to hang it on the hanger or the clothes-line to “refresh”

What is the 'modesty panel' ?

Double material flap is situated under the back lacing of the corset and is used to regulate the corset tightening and also to hide the unaesthetic folds an the skin that appear after tightening the body with a corset. And what is also important it is “an insurance” against possible mistakes made by measuring or sudden weight changes that cause the changes of the figure. This flap is present in absolutely all models.

What materials are used to make a corset?

As a rule a corset has four layers except summer corsage that has one. The upper layer, depending on the model, is made using quite different textile (natural silk, cotton, flax, polyester, rayon, velvet, guipure), the lining is made of cotton fabric or jacquard of cotton or cotton with rayon. Firm plastic bones with whalebone as a prototype (not to mix with regiline), enameled metallic bones of firm spring steel and all the other stuff to make it durable and beautiful are used in the corset construction.

Are your corsets made for tightening and also considerable tightening the waist?

Yes, the construction and technology of corset making together with the materials used serve for making the corset maximally durable. Some additional methods for strengthening are used for tightening the waist for more than 10 centimeters. But if you are planing to “train” your waist for maximum tightening it's better to choose the linen corsets.

Do you make the corsets of big sizes?

Yes, we do.(the cost increases on 20% if the waist is more than 80 centimeters). The only condition is that the difference between waist and breast (and hips) is no more than 10 centimeters. We don't recommend those who have such shapes the tightening for more than 5 centimeters without any experience of wearing the corset or certainty in possibility of tightening. The more chubby is the waist the more harder it s to tighten it and the inner organs will feel discomforted. The 5 centimeters tightening is enough to hide the folds and to lift the breast. But you shouldn't create illusions about making your waist slim. I advise to wear a tippet on the shoulders in addition. It is warmer and looks much more gorgeous and the folds of skin that appear because of the surpluses pushed out are not evident.

Do you make clothing or accessories to the corsets?

Yes, but these are mainly the clothes of standard size that do not need the preliminary fitting. By now these are material and fur tippets with trimming, bolero, guipure dresses, garters, blouses, panties and skirts.

Is it possible to alter the corset if I have lost weight?

It's much more easier to make a new one. If on the opposite you have put on some weight it is possible to enlarge the corset by changing the material flap on the wider one.

Will I need some help by lacing the corset?

Our corsets have both back and front lacing or busk so with some experience you can easily lace o take off the corset by yourself. But no doubt it would be much easier and more effective if somebody will help you to lace it...in some cases it is also good is somebody unlaces it...Then what's the point of wearing corset if not to find somebody who will willingly unlace it?
